What first catches the eye about KinkCulture.com is the fact that it claims to be 100% free, which is unusual, as most of the other services in this category charge at least a small monthly fee.

In fact, a gold membership is also advertised, but this doesn't seem to get you any additional features and when you proceed to the check-out, you'll find the service temporarily unavailable.

It seems that KinkCulture make their money primarily from advertising and linking into the online BDSM store WasteLand.com. So for those looking for absolutely no financial commitment, KinkCulture.com could well be the place for you.

Sign-up takes a little while but is reasonably secure. The fact that everyone has to upload a photo ensures that there are almost no profiles without pictures at Kinkculture.com which makes for a far more pleasurable browsing experience.

Once you're a member, you get a nice homepage which quickly shows you your friends online, members near you, and updates on your blog. There is also a handy quick search which enables you to get straight to who you're looking for.

On the other hand, for those who don't know what they're looking for, Kinkculture offers a matchmaker service which takes information from your profile and matches you up with those they believe would suit your desires.

Browsing the profiles of other users is made more interesting by their blog posts, which make the experience far more personal. Regarding your own blog, writing about your feelings and needs can be a great way of better getting to know your kinky self, as well as attracting like-minded alternative daters.

All this would be all well and good if Kinkculture were to have an active user-base, but it seems to lack one, unfortunately. It appears as though, once upon a time, this did exist but, alas, no more. The last blog posts date from 2013 and, even then, most of these seem to have been spambots selling sunglasses which is annoying (unless you happen to have a sunglasses fetish!).

At least this does mean that there are still kinky photos and video available for free at Kinkculture which will be appreciated for those looking just to get off. However, you will soon get bored with the lack of updates to Kinkculture.com.

Likewise, it is highly unlikely that you'll meet someone willing to meet up. Although there are a few members still visiting the site from time to time, the chances are slip that one will be in your area.

Furthermore, due to the lack of new material and blogs, there are few opportunities to spark up conversation with the occasional user who does happen to be online.

As there is no online community to speak of at Kinkculture, the most intimate contact your likely to receive is a straight up request for contact info or photos; not the best way to build an enriching alternative dating lifestyle. 

Although there are clearly far superior services out there, one can't really complain, seeing as Kinkculture is 100% free. This means it could be a great place to just check out some kinky material before moving on to something more serious. For those attracted by the BDSM scene, but don't know quite what floats their boat, Kinkculture may a useful source of free inspiration.

For those committed to alternative dating, however, Kinkculture is not a serious option. If you're willing to pay even a little you'll get contact with other BDSM enthusiasts, as well as much better material than that available at Kinkculture.com.

That's not to say there's no harm in checking them out, after all, being free there's literally nothing to lose. Just remember that you'll be getting what you pay for and not much more.
